PhD degree in psychology (from the University of Latvia, 1994), associated professor (since 2003). Dr Nikiforov had taught psychology and pedagogy in many universities and colleges of Latvia, such as: University of Latvia, Daugavpils Pedagogical Institute, Riga Aeronautical Institute, Psychology University College. He was the chair of the psychology department at the Riga Teacher Training and Educational Management Academy.
Since the early 2000s, Oleg Nikiforov permanently works in the biggest private educational institution of the Baltic region – Baltic International Academy, – and reads lectures at Riga Catholic Seminary. Upon request, he also teaches in other educational institutions from time to time. Dr Nikiforov reads courses in: general plyshology, social psychology, personality psychology, psychodiagnostics, ethnopsychology, forensic psychiatry, pedagogy, Christian anthropology and psychology, gnosiology. He has adapted several methods of researching personality and intelligence. Mr Nikiforov has been advisor of numerous theses, including more than 70 Master theses in psychology and pedagogy, and oversaw three doctoral theses. He has authored lots of peer-reviewed articles, several books and monographs.
